Mission

The mission of Vision Productions, Inc. is
to see people come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior and to see fellow Christians edified and challenged to a deeper walk of faith.

History

Vision Productions Inc, also known as Billy Wayne Ministries, was founded by Billy Wayne Arrington in 1995.  This 501©(3) cooperation actively pursues the heart of God with the intention of spreading the gospel and encouraging followers of Christ in their faith.  Through concerts, camps, church engagements, conferences, mission trips, retreats, and theatrical events, the goal is to see lost people come to a saving knowledge of Jesus.  Billy Wayne’s desire is to offer the message of hope to a hurting world, in leading people into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

In 2005, Vision Productions opened Lamplight Theatre in Fall Branch, TN.  The building rested upon a hill and became a pinnacle point for entertainment in the Tri-Cities region.  Through original songs & plays, Billy Wayne Arrington and the Vision Productions Inc team produced quality Christian entertainment in an exciting new way.  As the performances and crowds grew larger, the opportunity for a bigger stage presented itself in 2013.  Lamplight Theatre was then relocated to downtown Kingsport, inside of the old Strand Theater.

A staple on Broad St, the Strand Theater was the first movie theater to open in Kingsport. It was originally located on the corner of Main St and Shelby St, but the Strand Theater relocated to 140 Broad St in 1925.  The Strand Theater closed its doors in 1982.  In 1989, Restoration Church moved into the building, then later that the building should be used for performance arts.  Restoration Church sold the building to Vision Productions Inc in 2013.

In 2014, Lamplight Theatre expanded with the purchase of The Emporium.  The Emporium building houses Lamplight Theatre’s Gift Shoppe, Backstage Coffee Company, the theatre’s dance studio and wardrobe, offices, and a banquet hall.
